Lazer Ryderz! The Totally Rad Tabletop Racing Game!

Early Update! Lazer Ryderz is on its way!

Hey there, radical backers!

Let's not beat around the bush. Lazer Ryderz is here in our warehouse, and we've started the shipping process!

 So many games! Those boring brown boxes hide such a super exciting and colorful game, too!

So, here's the full situation. We're packing and labelling boxes as we speak. The actual packages will start leaving our warehouse next week. We're starting with backers outside of the US first, then we'll move to US backers. Now, if you're a backer on some of our other projects, you might notice a trend. Exoplanets, Lazer Ryderz, and Spirit Island are all shipping at the same time. This means a couple things. First of all, it might mean you get more than one game at once! Secondly, it does mean that this is going to be a longer shipping process than usual, since we're juggling a lot of different things. Still, everything should be out of our warehouse by July 21st, as we're estimating things currently.

I can not wait to get this game out into the world and your hands. And we're super close!

Later Ryderz, this is one of the most exciting updates for this project I've had the joy of doing yet.

First of all, we've only just returned from UK Games Expo in Birmingham, and it was really a blast. We got to see some of you that we don't get to see very often, and, best of all, we got to play A TON OF LAZER RYDERZ!

The game was a hit. We had two demo tables that were never empty, filled with back-to-back games happening any time the exhibition hall was open. A special thanks is due our friends Paul and Anna for taking time to teach everyone, as well as our friends Becky and Darrell from Eclectic Games for being so amazing and arranging all of the booth space and setup!

Now, the moment you've all been waiting for...

Games are on their way to our warehouse! They have left China on board the container ship MOL BEAUTY, and boxes upon boxes will be arriving before too long (about 3 weeks, give or take - ocean freight is an inexact science). Once that happens, we will begin sending them out to you fine backers. That's right; this Kickstarter campaign is delivering early! However, we do need some help from you to make sure they get where they're going.

It's VITALLY important that you update your address in BackerKit by the end of this week. Don't send an email to us, just go right here and update it as needed. We're going to be locking things down by Friday night so that we can begin printing shipping labels, so it's very important that this get done in a timely fashion. If a package gets shipped to the wrong address, it'll delay getting your game to you by a significant amount, and neither of us want that.

Hey there, you amazing people, you!

I know what you're thinking. First of all, it's Wednesday. And we already had our update for the month, right? Surprise!

Earlier this morning, we got a delivery with a production copy of Lazer Ryderz, and we couldn't wait to show it off to you.

 We're so excited for this. If we didn't have so much to do in the office here, we'd be playing already.

Happy May, everyone!

I really wish I had super flashy news to share with you all this month, but we're in the boring part of production where games are being printed. There's not much to say other than they'll be on a boat at some point in the relatively near future! That's pretty good news, but it doesn't make for sensational copy.

We did also get a sample of the playmat in!

 This is really close to what the final product is going to look like, but not exactly. First of all, the sample we got was a little blurry, which you can see if you look closely at that photo. Secondly, it was a little short in both width and height. We're making sure both of those things are correct in the playmat that gets shipped to backers who ordered it.

Hey, everyone!

What do you think of the totally radical and thematic subject to this update? *mean guitar lick*

Production is zipping right along. We've had a lot of back and forth with the factory about the packaging, and I think we're finally dialing things in. Basically, each time they send us an iteration of the "cassette" boxes, something has been wrong. Usually something they've changed that we didn't necessarily ask for...

We have high hopes for this next version, though! The good news is that the insert is pretty much completely done. Check out this neat animation.

 You can see how nice and neatly everything fits in there. It doesn't even stick out over the top!

 Here's the best news of it all. We're feeling pretty confident in saying that we should be able to start delivering in June! That's coming up really soon, y'all. We can't wait to play.
