Hey there, Ryderz!

We're getting close to the end now, and it won't be long until the 48 hour reminder emails go out. As a bit of a celebration, we have a special treat for you today.

Lazer Ryderz has a very distinct feel to it, and that deserves a total sensory experience. Jean-Marc Giffin, the composer of the great music from Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game, and Trevor Casterline of Sheepshead Studios have really outdone themselves by providing the auditory component of that experience. At the SYNTH BLAZER!, DANGER ZONE!, and SPACE RANGER! pledge tiers, you can get your very own copy of the soundtrack to really take your game night to the next level!

Every track has its own feel, and we wanted you to have a couple samples. Check out these links! These are works in progress, so they’ll be even crisper and more perfect in the final version.

We’re confident that you’ll be drawn into every game of Lazer Ryderz with every amazing track.

And don’t forget! We have just a little over 48 hours left in the campaign at the time of this update. Let’s keep this energy up all the way to the end and beyond! You all rock!

Whew! What a rush!

Hey, everyone!

I hope your weekend was a great one! We definitely spent ours celebrating all of you amazing folks who helped fund Lazer Ryderz. We really can't thank you enough, and I'm sure Nicole and Anthony are pleased as punch, too.

Now comes to the hardest part: the wait. We'll try to make it as easy for you as possible. If you've not backed a Greater Than Games project before, then you should know that we try to post an update on in-progress Kickstarter projects at least once a month, usually on the first Tuesday. In this update, we'll give you new art and information on how production is coming along, right up until the game's in your hands!

Thank you again!

Way to go, Ryderz! You've unlocked the $50k stretch goal for spot foil on the box and components! That's really going to make this game pop when it hits the table.

$50k unlocked!

Apostate is up next at $60k. Isn't he just the baddest?

There are just a few hours left in the project. We can still unlock more, so don't stop now! Let's really push this through!

Spooky, Scary Skeletonz

Hey there, Ryderz!

It's the last week of the campaign! You're all doing great talking everything up, and we couldn't be more grateful for your excitement!

Today, we have something a little... spooky for you. Seems fitting, since today's Halloween, right? Have a look at this menace: The Phantom Cosmonaut!

A shadowy figure on the wing of a doomed craft. A laughing skull as your cockpit glass cracks. Rumor has it he was there when Titan XIII imploded, and when the residents of the Ursa mining colony met their fates. Who was the ruin that came to Fargon Station? All of these and more are attributed to the Phantom Cosmonaut.

Not much is known about the Phantom Cosmonaut, though much is both speculated and feared. Is he the haunted body of some ancient astronaut? Is he the dread of some bygone era, a grim reminder of a time when humans had to wear cumbersome suits to survive in the terrifying vacuum of space? Is he the echoed reflection of another dimension? No one knows. But what they do know is that he is a portent of doom: when a space traveler sees his eerie glow, something bad is sure to happen. As for the power prizms, his reasons for seeking them are unknown, but his intentions are certainly ill.

Not existing entirely in this reality, the Phantom Cosmonaut can use his power, MURK, to pass through obstacles without crashing. He may activate this ability at the start of his turn and skip the crash phase.

Stay tuned for more later, folks! We hope to have a sample of the soundtrack for you in the next couple days, if you want something to look forward to. Until then, stay cool!

Super Sheriff wants your help!
over 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 02, 2016 at 08:27:21 AM

It's Friday! I hope you all have your Lazer Ryderz Halloween costumes ready!

We're thrilled to have you all ryding along with us on this campaign! This campaign funded right off the bat, but we're eager to get the bodacious news of the Ryderz of Lazers to even more denizens of the cosmos! So, we turn to you to help us find more. Help us by answering this question:

Ryderz! Where do you get your tabletop gaming news? Please, tell us in the comments what news sites and outlets we should be pushing news of Lazer Ryderz to so more can know of the pursuit of prizms!

We also wanted to continue sharing more information about the world and characters of Lazer Ryderz. Here to keep you safe, it's... Super Sheriff!

Faster than the speed of crime, the Law Star Rangers appear, capturing criminals and bringing justice in their wake. The Super Sheriff is the greatest of this elite force. With an untarnished record and a 100% capture rate, she pursues outlaws in the wilds of space, beyond the reach of the universal coalition.

Atop her lazer steed, with her trusty sidearm and her power armor, she's brought in such criminals as the Black Hole Gang, Banditotron 2000, and the Starcrusher Boys. Her current mission is to blaze a trail to the distant power prizms and lock them down, as well as prevent the escape of any ne'er-do-wells currently in pursuit of their unknown abilities.

With her mighty sidearm, BLAZE, the Super Sheriff uses her unerring aim to fire a hyper-energy distortion beam at her opponents during her turn. This can be used to slow them down to 1st gear, allowing her to pull ahead. Alternately, she may use her beam to max out an opponent's speed up to 5th gear, sending them out of control and possibly into a crash.

Everyone have a great weekend, and be safe out there!
